Mood Boards (⊃。•́‿•̀。)つ──☆*:・゚

(⌒ω⌒)ノ

My plan for the day x

I've been splurging my $$ on items I don't really need lately,

but looking around my living S P A C E -

I definitely need some upgrades.

Unfortunately —

home decor and appliances are pretty costly

& adding those items into my budget gets v expensive (¯ . ¯;)

  • So today I'm making my way to IKEA!

  • I found a reason to spend more $$ . . surprise, surprise. .

I spent my morning getting ready, spending time with my son and I also looked up a few places I want to go to for a lil fall foliage road trip!

I'm actually dying to go for a nice fall drive

&& then find a nature trail +

Possibly explore some towns

in the Berkshires!

More updates and posts coming when I do finally plan it out! (Hopefully before the winter weather) 🤞

Before anything

I do my everyday mundane:

Today I returned two amazon packages containing; the steamer at home facial spa, and an SD card that didn't end up working with my son's laaame tablet.

We got to Ikea +

What I left with :

  1. Two light beige seat cushions, for our tall coffee tables' seats

  2. Pack of white, orange, red and green tealights. (The colored ones are all scented)

  3. A v large mirror 🤩, Hovet wall mirror

There obv was so much more that we wanted to buy- from a table, chairs, couch, bed frame, rugs, more mirrors, (and my son's picks of candy) - but I had to settle with what I could (probably shouldn't have) and still left with some good choices!

  • The light beige cushions were some things that I had wanted to buy for a while. I usually don't like to sit at the table [ being so high up ] + the wooden chairs being so uncomfortable . . The cushions are a tad smaller than the seats we have, but they work just fine. My ocd doesn't agree with the tags hanging off the back, I tuck them under the seating; but my ocd also wouldn't like me to cut off the tags. They actually are quite comfortable & for the price, honestly, they're 2x worth it!

  • As for the tealights; I purchased white / green / orange / red colors

  • Initially I was going to buy a $50 wall hanging mirror when I first started looking at the mirrors; but the Hovet was hanging up next to it on the display wall — it was much larger and the frame's finish looked and felt much smoother and looked a whole lot less cheap. Since I actually have been looking for a room mirror for SO LONG, I decided, against my financial mindset, to get it.

For the price of this mirror — when I shop around Marshall's or Target etc. the mirrors that cost the same as the Hovet, were always incredibly, cheaply built!

But the Hovet is v durable and massive. I seriously have never owned a mirror so big 🤩 even though there's not many nice things to look at through the mirror; it's beyond nice to have in my space now.

I may have spent a lot on just a mirror, I felt so happy and relieved that I have a mirror in my room. Now, I'm not walking around not knowing what I look like until I get into the bathroom where the only mirrors I have are 🥲

I also look so much worse than I realize too 😂

I also put my new car to the SUV test and with some adjusting.. + my boyfriend laying down in the back seat- under the mirror- it worked! I fit it in, even got the trunk to close, then drove that bby home.

It may have been a day of spending money; which I'm good at, but I'm happy I got my lil and big finds. I'll definitely go back to IKEA once I have more funds! And if you've never gone before.. it's definitely worth taking a day (a day will be needed considering the size of these stores); to look around for all your little and big home needs!

That's all for today's post,

As always xx Thanks for reading!
